There was no nit-picking--
We simply asked for prices and clarity on the packages and you guys went ahead and told us about your service and the fact you own bandwidth. All we wanted was prices thats all.
It is sad that we only got it after 5 pages of posting.......AND WE COMPLAIN OF TELKOM
Pedantic said:Ok, let's clear things up here before we're all totally confused.
Issue 1: Pricing after November 1
SAOL pricing will change on November 1 - Our new rates are official and are available HERE
Issue 2: Existing clients' packages after November 1
This is an issue between SAOL and our clients. We believe we have managed to fulfill our promise to our clients and do not wish to discuss our internal workings as this is private company information. If you sign up before 1 November expect to pay our new prices from 1 November - if you somehow manage to stay on our 30 Gig special beyond November, consider it a bonus.
Issue 3: Notice Periods
Our notice period is 30 days - this notice period works both ways, so if we increase pricing to R1600 we will inform you 30 days before the increase, you can then cancel your account if the new pricing is not to your liking.
We are a reputable business trying to offer the best value to our clients, we've been in the industry a long time and I'm sure any SAOL user on this forum will vouch for our service & support.

Tarquin said:Hi,
I am not going to get into a stone throwing exercise as we are still the best priced ISP around and offer great services too.
To clarify:
Around 75% of our client base will remain on the current pricing, this includes full international for 10, 20 and 30 Gig accounts.
We are not discriminating against anyone, we are still working for all our clients’ interests, and MOST of our clients remain as is for now, on a month to month basis.
If you purchase an account before the end of this month you will get 30 Gig International for R299.00 for November as well.
Our new pricing structure for ADSL is also for International bandwidth.
Sincerely

You shoulda signed up - you would have been guaranteed a 30 Gig account for R299.00 for November by simply quoting Tarquin's post.I nearly signed up last night, when I got to the point of agreeing to a debit order I smelled a rat and cancelled.
Thx SAOL for providing such a cost effective solution to the Nov 1 chages.
I signed up last month and have been informed that my price structure will
remain at 30Gb for R299. I sugest that anyone interested sign up with them
ASAP
If you're unsure - we can cancel your account for you killa - no need to have something you don't want.killadoob said:lol yea i have a feeling that i have
