There was no nit-picking--

We simply asked for prices and clarity on the packages and you guys went ahead and told us about your service and the fact you own bandwidth. All we wanted was prices thats all.

It is sad that we only got it after 5 pages of posting.......AND WE COMPLAIN OF TELKOM

Well it might be that you typed in the wrong URL, this is the myadsl.co.za forum... If you are bitching like a 10 year old that you were not getting the answers you wanted did the idea not pop into your head to phone them or write them an email? I mean I had some questions, I emailed I got answers. I needed clarity I phoned... not a difficult concept!

Ok, let's clear things up here before we're all totally confused.

Issue 1: Pricing after November 1
SAOL pricing will change on November 1 - Our new rates are official and are available HERE

Issue 2: Existing clients' packages after November 1
This is an issue between SAOL and our clients. We believe we have managed to fulfill our promise to our clients and do not wish to discuss our internal workings as this is private company information. If you sign up before 1 November expect to pay our new prices from 1 November - if you somehow manage to stay on our 30 Gig special beyond November, consider it a bonus.

Issue 3: Notice Periods
Our notice period is 30 days - this notice period works both ways, so if we increase pricing to R1600 we will inform you 30 days before the increase, you can then cancel your account if the new pricing is not to your liking.

We are a reputable business trying to offer the best value to our clients, we've been in the industry a long time and I'm sure any SAOL user on this forum will vouch for our service & support.

Get YOUR CEO to apologize for giving dubious informtion in the hope of getting more clients with false expectations. I nearly signed up last night, when I got to the point of agreeing to a debit order I smelled a rat and cancelled. I rather do direct transfer as with WEB AFRICA. I will stick with them rather at any price than be conned in a deal I cannot stop once I agreed to the debit order
A Bloody Joke if you ask me. Looks like MyADSL is becoming a ISP canvassing forum, which is fine if it is clear and to the point, but what I see borders on mass confusion to gain more clients at their own peril.

How can Pendantic posts totally refute that of the CEO which I even thanked him for the clarity ?? If I misuderstood these two clear statements by SAOL please PM me to clear up the matter

Hi,

I am not going to get into a stone throwing exercise as we are still the best priced ISP around and offer great services too.

To clarify:
Around 75% of our client base will remain on the current pricing, this includes full international for 10, 20 and 30 Gig accounts.

We are not discriminating against anyone, we are still working for all our clients’ interests, and MOST of our clients remain as is for now, on a month to month basis.

If you purchase an account before the end of this month you will get 30 Gig International for R299.00 for November as well.
Our new pricing structure for ADSL is also for International bandwidth.

Sincerely
Tarquin Douglass

You shoulda signed up - you would have been guaranteed a 30 Gig account for R299.00 for November by simply quoting Tarquin's post.

Debit order is not dubious at all, and just because you agree to a debit order doesn't mean you're going to get ripped off by anyone.
I'm getting increasingly concerned at the paranoia around here - it seems that our offers are simply too good to be true ;)

Thanx Pendantic I will look into it
Thanx for the clarification. Can it not be paid by transfer. I did not mean to say you will rip me off. I had bad experiences with stop orders in the past, therefore I am against it and would prefer to do transfer

Your offers are good only some confusion relating to the understanding who says what? It was clear to me last night untill I read this mornings posts.
Thanx again

PS You cannot blame anyone for the paranoia, its turbulent times and everybody have to make quick decisions. Telkom is the main reason for all this they did not give much time to prepare and adapt
