Despite all the flak SAOL have been getting on these forums (we know its entirely founded since we have had issues with our 10 gig accounts and the IP resetting thing), I saw on Hellkom that SAOL now have 30 gig accounts (a new service?) for R599. My boss would probably be quite keen for these accounts and so I am digging up more info. As usual there is nothing on the SAOL site, so I was just wondering if anyone had any further information for me?

Thanks in advance.

Now Zolly - it also all depends on what you want to do with the ADSL package.

The SAOL 30Gig account is fine for mail, and Internet but if you are going to use it like 90% of these people on this forum for P2P downloading and Torrents, then no it's not gonna work for you.

So take a 30Gig account for 1 month after the month if it's not what you expect or you see that the service is crap then yes cancel and use it for the cancellation month then move onto another ISP - Provided you aren't going to do P2P stuff.

Are you talking strictly 30gig accounts OR also their 10gig accounts ?
Reason i ask is cos im getting excellent p2p speeds with their 10gig acc.

Saol's 10gig and 30gig accounts are completely different. The 10gig accounts are resold saix accounts and the 30gig accounts use Saol's own infrustructure.

Just the 30gig accounts - because it's IPC so P2P is shaped - the 10gig from SAOL is the best on the market at the moment
