confusion with saol.com (cleared)

Alright, everything is clear!

24 hours notice for downgrading, one month for cancelling. You get put onto option ADSL2 automatically, as MrBEEP said which is 2gb for 169R. But that you can change any day.

So saol.com: you are still the best provider! great service! carry on like this

Very well, but what about me? I asked them what my period for downgrading the account is (in case prices increase) and they said that that can be done any day. Though, I'm not sure if I can believe some guy on the phone.

That's why I'm asking you guys. Can any of you confirm, that I can downgrade the account any day cause I'm not willing to pay over 2000 rand for a 30gb account.

I'm worried about that for the case that both downgrade and price change notice period are the same and I somehow only get the info a day or two later.

I also emailed them a couple of hours ago and am waiting for response. Still I would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

Just received this from Saol:

Due to a new billing structure implemented by Telkom, we have been forced to discontinue our "large cap" shaped ADSL packages.

As of 1 November 2005 we will be offering a new range of ADSL products ranging from low cost basic packages to premium and unshaped packages aimed at businesses and multiple users.

All our new ADSL accounts will have "top up" capability, meaning that once the cap has been reached, the account can be "recharged" via our website or telephonically via our sales team using your credit card.



What's going to change?

The following changes will take effect on the 1st of November 2005:

Once your cap is reached, your account will be "hard capped", meaning that you will have no internet connectivity after reaching your cap - you will however have access to www.saol.com in order to recharge your account.

Your account will be placed on the ADSL2 option by default - if you would like to be placed on a different option, please contact us on 0861007265 or [email protected] .

You can buy more bandwidth to supplement your monthly cap - shaped bandwidth is R 69.00 / Gig and Unshaped is R 129.00 / Gig.
