Has anyone received their auto assessment notifications yet?

My son received his auto assessment. He's getting a few pennies back. Does he need to accept or anything on e-filing? He doesn't know his password or username.

Apparently we only need to leave it if there's a refund.

"Taxpayers that agree with the auto-assessment will not have to do anything.

If there is a refund due, it will be paid within 72 hours.

If there is a tax due to SARS, the taxpayers must make the payment by the due date".

I think you still need to accept it on the ITR12. They will still pay even if you don't but may show as un submitted ITR12 for the tax year.

That means you can only request from the 15th if you’re not being auto assessed.

You need first to be assessed or auto assessed. Then pull a SOA, right top corner, pay date (if receiving a refund)

I've never caught anything while phishing.
But lets say, surname close to the end - name close to the beginning ?

A lot of the people surnames, that i work with, that received their notification, were close to the end of alphabet

Is anyone claiming solar panels rebate ? How do you do this if you have been auto assessed?

I was auto-assessed overnight, and I can’t see anything prompting me to accept the assessment. The submission is fully completed and greyed out with no edit or submit or accept buttons visible which I can see.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with the outcome, but how does SARS expect one to challenge the auto-assessment if they submit it on your behalf and just lock it?
