It means your employer is not deducting enough tax from your salary every month

Ok so from what I gather, most of you guys are scoring because you have an RA set up right?


Which company did you guys go with for your RA and income protection?
Can you also perhaps tell me what the monthly deductions are from the companies that does your RA and income prot. for you?
 
I'm paying my medical aid via debit order. It doesn't go through the company payroll. I get the full refund every year.
 
I done the calculation on e-filing. My total due / to be returned is R0.00. Something doesn't seem right as I've done 18000 official kilometers for the period.
 
Calculations done. Just received AN IT34 Notice saying SARS owes me a cool R2870... I hope this doesn't change suddenly... :D

My company subtracts my medical aid expenses for me.
I also rarely get sick so there was nothing to claim in the last year.
 
Seems you can't use SARS efiling on a linux system...

SARS tax calculator says they owe me R4127.40 (private medical aid and income protection contributions). :D Will submit my return tonight and see if it pans out.
 
why would Statement of Account Balance show R 0.00 , when last night it showed a refund value, and on the ITA34 it also shows the refund value still
 
Anyone have previous experience with having to submit supporting documents?

How long do they normally take to review and then approve the refund for payment?
 
I was audited a couple years ago. I went into SARS with my Tax stuff (no supporting documents). I was angry with myself for not taking everything with me. I went home and uploaded the required documents. Took a week and my refund was paid to me. Every year since then I take along the supporting documents too and I haven't been audited since.

I can't submit it yet as I haven't received my IRP5 yet... Too scared there might be a mistake and I get audited again. Just did the calculation. Now to wait for the IRP5 all the other things are correct and verified. Just not my IRP5.
