SARS E-Filing 2015

The request for documents makes sense though. in 2013 I paid over R10k out of pocket for scans etc after my medical aid day to day ran out - this was included in my 2014 tax return. SARS gave me R11k without any document verification.

This year my out of pocket medical expenses are only R1.5k and they asked for verification. Probably a random pick that I need to submit.

BUT, last year they should've picked me because R10k out of pocket is abnormal in my books.

I guess you one of the lucky few that got away!

Meh. Just gotten my 2nd prompt to submit documentation, they don't exactly say what either. So it's a bit of a run around.

This time I included the tax certificate from the medical aid my company provided, so it's all been included already, they just need proof. Sucks either way.

My wife is being reviewed for having out of pocket medical R10k expenses. (Its all on her Medical aid Tax Certificate)

Myself am being audited because I typed the R209.99 out of pocket Medical expenses as R20999. -Correction filed:o

Surprisingly the calculations done by my ex-employer and my new paymaster were pretty accurate and included three tax directives. Most of the refund is due to RA's that I still contribute towards and a bit of medical..

Goke!

Ha for the first time in 4 years I am getting some cash back... a full 11c

Just submitted mine upon getting my IRP5.

Now let's wait and see what the wheel of fate hold for my return...

I've had longer and on query got told they have up to 90 days to get back to you.

last year i had 4 months of run around

Yes, I think disputes and queries take longer. But if they need supporting documents only and it's in order. I have never had to wait longer than 30 days. Normally 25 - 30 days. Nothing sooners, nothing later.

I think it helped that I submitted all of my documents last night immediately after getting the notification email. I must have been near the front of the verification queue.

Getting R570 refund this year... mostly because I have a monthly donation debit order to Meals on Wheels.

Ok so from what I gather, most of you guys are scoring because you have an RA set up right?

Which company did you guys go with for your RA and income protection?
Can you also perhaps tell me what the monthly deductions are from the companies that does your RA and income prot. for you?

I don't.

I have an Essential Delta Core plan, both me and the wife on it. It's about R2.1k per month. Is yours similar to that?

Type of plan means nothing as there is a set refund fee per main member, first dependent and all other dependents thereafter. Hence: number of dependents is where the money is at..... I am on 3 with a 4th joining on the 30th of this month when she decides to vacate mommy (figures include me as main member)..
