SARS E-Filing 2015

Depends how much work it is, but I've seen the price is generally around R500 - R600. Although I know some people paying around R200.

ok... thats not too bad... rather do it myself though... anyone who sorts out issues with SARS? reason im asking, i've been living up here in JHB for about 10yrs now, working same company for the same amount of time, apparently he old company i workd for in DBN, the HR lasy was still collecting a slary on my behalf and even a bonus, which SARS picked up and says i ahve to pay... i told them i dont work there and actually relocated to JHB way back when... any idea how i go about sorting this with them?

So apparently I owe SARS money, from way back in 2011 I was employed through a employment agency and they were not taxing me my salary enough, so now I need t pay back the difference, submitted for audit and it's been two weeks,

Question do I just pay the amount and get it over with ? I have made an arrangement to pay monthly over the next 6 months.

However I am still receiving sms messages that this is a final demand please pay SARS or I will be handed over. I call SARS and apparently I will still receive message s until he amount is paid up, and I will not be handed over.

What would be your advice ?

Pay back the money?

Sorry :o. Do you have the agreement in writing from them?

:D

Hey bud

yeah the lady did hand me a page which has my details and the amount I need to pay over the next 6 months

Each month showing the interest and the amount as it decreases.

Just really concerned that some idiot will hand me over as they have no idea I have a payment arrangement over the next few months

If they gave you a printout, then it's on their system. The sms is probably just to annoy you enough to pay early.

Anyone know how long, generally speaking, SARS take to process a dispute?

Their standard response is 21 working days.

60 Business days in respect of a dispute providing no additional supporting documentation is required - SARS may extend this period if additional time is required (SARS must inform you with reasons).

The period between 15 December and 15 January is excluded from the 60 business day calculation.

Ah, didn't know that. Queries like VAT refunds take the 21 days.

Did my submission end of December....late but atleast submitted. Still waiting for my payout.

Still waiting for my payout, had to submit my docs as they doing a desk audit, they do a desk audit on me pretty much every year.... its because i claim so much back:-)

Thanks for the info :)

Also got selected for audit, submitted all my supporting Docs on 4-December.
got the "Completion letter"
SARS status - Return - Assessed

Haven't heard a single thing back :(

--Edit Just saw the 15-Dec to 15-Jan not being included... Yay lets hope they can process this and no more *** to submit :D

Anyone get paid out yet?

If you haven't got your refund get hold of SARS and ask what the hold up is.

You might have outstanding returns from previous years. This has happened to a number of people here.

I'm still waiting for mine but that is thanks to the useless accountants at my previous job.
