SARS E-Filing 2015

Guys I need some advice please.

My mother got a "9857 LUMP SUM DECLARED BUT DIRECTIVE OUTSTANDING" notification when she asked for a Tax calculation. No calculation issued for reference.

She filed her 2014/2015 tax return on 2015/11/17 and had to add supporting documents. I scanned all the documents and attached it via the e-filing portal for assessment.

On the RH side the following: blocks have details:

eFiling Status: Correction Filed
SARS Notifications: Number of letters: 1 - notification for supporting documents
SARS Status: Return – Assessed With message in the balloon:

Last Status Date: 2015/12/14 with message – Your Income Tax Return has been assessed and you should receive your Notice of Assessment as an attachment in your eFiling profile within the next two weeks

Where do we go from here? She wants to pay the amount that is due, but there is no Notice of Assessment after two weeks of the date as specified above.

PLEASE HELP

Jirre, July last year already. It's almost time again :D

If everyone just started filing theirs the moment the virtual doors open instead of waiting till it's almost overdue then there wouldn't be this long wait for money and all the related drama.

Mine was done the second day and paid on the third from what I recall.

So, I need to pay SARS some money. Last year when I had to pay my tax they had an old bank account listed and I couldn't do the credit push transaction. I had to go and spend half a day in a SARS office to change the details on their system to reflect my current banking details. Now, I log in to e-filing to try and pay and again their system has reverted back to the old ABSA account. This time however, I am living abroad and as such I can not go into a SARS office to fix this. Does anyone have an email address for someone at SARS that may be able to help me? I don't feel like spending the entire day trying to navigate their phone system to try and get hold of a knowledgeable person.

You should be able to do this on your efiling profile.

Home->Banking Details->Setup New Account

Never needed to go in when changing bank details for Credit Push payments.

Thanks. Another member managed to walk me through it in pm. God only knows why the people manning the SARS email addresses can not tell you this. Or why they made me go into the bank last year...

I forgot how ridiculously difficult the payment process can be when going the EFT route. I personally go via the credit push option but had to help someone with the eft option. We first thought it was the bank's fault (thankfully no service desk agent was harmed in the process) but they eventually - after some troubleshooting - advised that it needs to be 19 digit string.

Eventually, and after searching MyBB, we managed to track down the correct beneficiary reference number.
(For future reference, it is listed under Payments -> General Unpaid)

SARS could at least add more payment details on the ITA34, specifically the payment reference number. I mean, how many people used the current reference number, which is the tax number, as reference?

Ok, my payment is still outstanding from a 30 December 2015 submission. I called the call centre to ask and they advised that:

1. it takes up to 30 working days to have the returned finalised. Note, this is working days not calendar days.
2. Once finalised, they can take between 2 and 21 calendar days to process the payment.

I think I will probably get my 2015/2016 return before I get my 2014/2015 return paid.
