No worries hope you come right! Thanks, yeah, I hear you. You're probably right but i'm still sticking to my guns with them. They need to sort it out. I would have never agreed to the job if they told me this, as i had another offer with a much bigger company. But anyway, that's in the past now. I will see if I can add expenses to this for WFH, travel, a laptop, and connectivity. I will probably need to get a tax consultant to assist me this time. Thanks for your time and advise @Snyper564
Damn! Your Official is the gold standard of Officials!Just got an email to say my case has been allocated to official
1. 15th - Submitted Audited
2. 17th - link came available to submit documents
3. 24th - Allocated to Official 8:59 am
4. 24th - finalized without changes - 10 49am
Im still waiting for it to be allocated to an official also submitted on the 19thDamn! Your Official is the gold standard of Officials!
Meanwhile my side:
1. 2024/07/15 - Submitted.
2. 2024-07-15 14:05 - Audited. (Request for documents: Home Office deductions supporting documents)
3. 2024/07/19 15:22:45 - Documents Submitted
4. 2024/07/21 23:42:56 - Allocated to Official
My wishful thinking is my Official is finding some undeclared assets I didn't know about
ITR12 submitted, ITA34 issued, doesn't look like I have been selected for audit or verification but I never trust SARS to not come back with something.
That sucks. Especially because once they assign only then does their 21 days start.Im still waiting for it to be allocated to an official also submitted on the 19th![]()
It's all fun and games until they ask for documentation for this.Something super funny in my auto creation of my 2024 profile (or submission) ... Under savings, SARS said I have a NEDBANK account (with account nr). I just deleted it. Never seen or heard of it. Very strange!
Exactly what it says. You could not be automatically assessed. They usually complete the assessment within a day or two.
Another reason for the flat rate is that with code 3616 you can deduct business expenses. Thanks, yeah, I hear you. You're probably right but i'm still sticking to my guns with them. Still waiting for my refund to be paid, hopefully sooner rather than later as there is some debt I would like to reduce.
Yes I’m still waiting. Confirmation that documents were received on 18 July, but still not allocated to an official.Anyone else waiting for the case to be assigned? I understand them taking long to verify everything but a week and it still hasnt been assigned im not sure
Do you perhaps know how do i add those expenses on my current return (ITR12)?Another reason for the flat rate is that with code 3616 you can deduct business expenses.

I don't get that option. Only medical and RA.If you scroll down to the end of your ITR12 .... alot of extra new things (that can be deducted)
I think when you answer the questions to create your return there should be a question that asks if you have any business expenses or something like that..I don't get that option. Only medical and RA.
