Also if you don't have that money to pay them now, you said you saw this on the SARS calculator. So then don't submit now, save up and submit when you have saved up much closer to the payment deadline. You can also ask SARS for a payment plan.

You can also request a payment arrangement on efiling, over 6, 12, 18, 24 months. Interest will be added though.

because you can't fill in the 2026/2027 return yet. You can only fill in the 2025/2026 return this year. You all are on the wrong thread/year

Huh ? Year 2026 in that drop down means 2025-26.

Logged in to file my tax return.

Found a second IRP5 on my tax return from a completely unknown "employer".

SARS call center in their infinite wisdom informs me that I need to contact the employer and they need to correct the IRP5. What part of unknown party do they not understand? Even a Google search does not return any results with the exact name stated on the IRP5.

First available appointment at a branch is in mid August and involves a round trip of more than 400km.

Fun times...

A tax refund of R<removed> has been released to your SARS registered bank. If it does not appear in your bank account on 2025-07-24 or is reversed, please contact your bank for more information.

Whats odd is that the amount mentioned in that message is different to the amount on the calculated result. Anyone else have this?

Yes. The amount on "Refund Status" was a little higher than the assessment. Also its no longer displays.

I posted the same question and it turns out we're both blind. That's last year's return, note the 2025...

I was selected for verification last year and I had to submit docs twice. Took 2 weeks in total and was done.
