Hi just registered for SARS efiling and a little lost as first tax return. Should theoretically have done it for the last 3 years but I tend to procrastinate.
I have registered for Personal Tax Returns and see the options IRP6 and ITR12- but as far as I know I need to submit IRP5. Have I signed up correctly.

Still waiting for details to be verified (Status: Awaiting Registration Verification)

Hoping to get some money back ^_^

Wait for everything to be verified, then open the ITR12. It should contain your IRP5 submitted by your employer. Then you'll need to verify that the details on your IRP5 on eFiling matches the one given to you by your employer, and that the codes etc. are correct.
 
SARS would ask you to do the previous years too before they pay you for the last
 
SARS must have already your IRP5 , but you still need it if they did fill the data or not, for you to check if its correct . Also I don't think you can do the previous years on efilling. You will need your last 3 years IRP5s from your employers and will need to pay penalty probably too.
 
Also do you have tax number? If you don't that would be the first thing you need to do. And you will need to go to SARS to get one
 
Have Tax number work registered me in January. We'll have to see about IRP5's still awaiting verification - don't want penalties sigh broke as it is. Want them to give me money back :P
 
You WILL have to pay penalties.
My wife registered this year, and submitted her return. Suddenly got notice (and fined) for not submitting previous two years either.
