SARS launches its own Internet browser to solve Flash problems

Innovation at it's finest, google eat your heart out.
 
For those who were advocating this as the end of the world, I needed to complete one of the forms that were affected by this last week and it is has been updated to no longer need flash. Not sure if all the forms have now been updated, but there's clearly progress.

likewise, its a strange almost feels outdated form but its on any browser

Obviously creating a browser is easier than updating your system away from flash.

Good point, but my main point was that that solution was quicker than moving the whole platform away from flash. I used the word "create" because I was answering a question that used that word.
 
Now that Sars got a browser, lets hope Saaz is next. Buying hops with my Saaz browser.... now that's something I can get behind
 
Must your tv license be up to date to use the new browser?
 
Not been able to edit any e-filing documents since 10th March

On 10/03/2021 I edited and saved a return. I needed to get a final figure for rental income. Since 12th March, clicking on the Blue IT12 does not generate a page

Have spoken to SARS 4 times since

"Edge does not work, you must use Chrome"
"Chrome does not work, you must use Edge"
"You cannot use a Mac" (This despite me telling them it is a Windows 10 machine)
"Windows 10 is incompatible, or your PC is faulty"
"You need to update Adobe"

I suggested that they send me a form by post. This cannot be done

Any (really bright) ideas? I have an ad-blocker running. The SARS lady did not know what an ad-blocker was
 
Have a client that needs to resend a transport act receipt, downloaded the SARS browser but when she opens the document its not populated.

SARS browser has links to Adobe Reader and Flash - flash link says you cannot download flash as its discontinued. :unsure:

Sorted if you open the document is empty, but if you save it then open with acrobat its filled in.
