Not at all. It was an eye-opener going to this house. In those days I had no idea it would fetch so much. I think a good deal of the price is estate-agent's hype

bad taste. there's at least 300 better looking properties in cape town. and better taste...

the interior decorator needs to be put in front of a fire pelliton and shot before he/she unleash their bad taste on other houses!

What I want to know is what was the previous selling price and how long ago was that? Also who's property is this?

CHF50k buys you a garage in Zurich so at least your car is snug on the snowy winter nights. 3 Bedroom appartment is around CHF1,5m which is roughly R13mil. It's prices like these and the fact that you need a 20% deposit that makes 80% of the Swiss population rent for their entire lives.

Back on topic. R300mil for that dump? Somebody needs to lay off the giggle-twig.

Meh not sure why everyone's so interested in it lately, grossly over priced... Who ever has that money for that house has nothing better to do!
 
There are properties worth many times more than that. But yeah, probably the most expensive/overpriced house.

Also: It's ugly as a mother****er. Looks like something you'd expect to find in the middle of the desert in the Middle East, just mash all styles together, and add gold-ness.

The thing that concerns me most is that every Tom Dick and Harry have a herb and vegetable garden these days. Prices are already crazy. :(

I just went though the catalogue for this place and there are paintings/photos of the same topless/nude woman in almost EVERY room....most bizarre. I wonder who she is? If its the owners wife, how odd that when friends/colleagues sleep over, they get to stare at her boobs above their beds all night long :D
