So who owns these team? Do they have names yet? The auction is next week and we still know so little.

The stadiums “own” the teams. Names will be announced soon.

I think Supersport was more to blame than CSA. I really hope CSA strike a similar deal that the IPL did with YouTube in first couple years of the tournament

Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday officially unveiled the Mzansi Super League (MSL), the much anticipated T20 League that is set to be the sport and entertainment spectacle of the South African summer.

The inaugural event will take place from November 16 to December 16 2018 and is set to feature some of the world's top T20 talent.

With six spanking new city teams playing across six different venues around the country and with matches set to be broadcast exclusively live by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) on its television and radio platforms, the MSL T20 is set to thrill new and established cricket fans alike as it extends its reach to every community and every corner of the country.

Means South... I think, in one of the local languages. A lot of the African persuasion call South Africa : Mzansi. Looks like they wanted to have a 3 letter acronym like almost of all the other T20 tournaments
 
Lets see who the international players are on monday.

They seem to have changed the format of the tournament into more a big bash type setup compared to IPL.

Yes, but I thought it strange that it was also the name of a DSTV channel, given that they're no longer a partner in the event.

The broadcast rights for Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) new T20 competition, the Mzansi Super League, are set to be given away for free, and ‘not once, but twice,’ reports The Sunday Times.

Broadcast rights to the recently unveiled Mzansi Super League have been granted to the SABC and, according to a report by The Sunday Times, the debt-burdened state broadcaster will not be paying for the privilege.
However, the report goes on to highlight that ‘as the state broadcaster’s channels are part of the DStv bouquet, the subscription audience will also be able to see the matches – at no cost to Supersport.’
The newspaper also reports that the broadcast deal has cost CSA hard cash by ‘reneging on an equity agreement with SuperSport that would have pumped R150-million a year into cricket’s coffers’.
The deal broke down for a number of reasons, including SuperSport feeling that CSA’s asking price was ‘not commensurate with what SuperSport believed to be fair value’.
Asked for comment by The Sunday Times, CSA said that ‘despite good faith negotiations, the parties failed to reach agreement on the material terms of the transaction. Neither party reneged on an existing agreement.’
The player auction for the Mzansi Super League takes place on Wednesday in Johannesburg.
