I really like how they claimed during the boom years that their profits are theirs alone, and that it is irrelevant that the government basically got them started up and made a loss on Sasol for many years, and then when times become hard, it demands handouts from government to keep it solvent.
May all the BEE investors choke on this one
It's sad really. But hey, I'm been part of getting their shares to where it is and now I'm excluded from all share deals.... I'm having fun watching this burn tbh

When did Sasol ask for a handout?
On the topic, I think Sasol confessing to their practices is prompted more by a sense of avoiding a few more massive fines, than a sense doing the right thing.
