even ananzi.co.za is struggling to get search results. Now i must phone all my clients and tell them why their streaming aint working.

I am so happy, last week i moved my mails from my server to something local. Unfortunately my sites still international so ya, but at least is till get my mails. I can communicate with those who have local mail accounts.

What realyl sux is my BlackBerry is now borderline useless, the BB mail server is in UK if i remember correctly and the BBM runs via the blackberry.net server which i think is also international.

My torrent download is going fine but I can't access most international sites

Avoid Cybersmart, but a recommendation would depend on what exactly you need out of it, but Afrihost looks good and their support is solid.
Cybersmart has a lovely ignore the client policy, if you complain they don't reply.

Got an update via another site, they re-routed SAT-3 via some other link at about 10am so most international should be back on shortly as the routes update.

Alot of the providers are failing over to Satellite now, but a few of the big boys namely IS are still trying to route over Sat-3, we just got reports that the seacom cable is also experiencing routing problems, so gonna be a long internet day again.

Jayo is probably going to tell us that rsaweb is the place to go? :P

Update: 2010-02-11 10:02

Kindly take note that Planned Maintenance is still in progress on the SAT3
cable system in order to perform further testing and make a final attempt to

repair the System. The Power on the SAT3 P3 (Southern Segment) is not
normal, and it is suspected that there are BU (Branching Unit) problems at
Lagos. All Non Restorable traffic on SAT 3 P3 have been affected since 02h00
this morning and will be restored as soon as the Branching Units are
re-configured and the power is normalised.

SAIX traffic has been re-routed but users may experience latency and
congestion problems.
@Jan
Confirmation of power problems identified on branching units.
I put it to you they still have the same problems but are not mentioning it.
