Mweb is slower than drawing teeth.One minute reasonable the next moment like having a wisdom tooth removed.Fnbconnect no better.

has this cable break issue been resolved yet?
My latency is fine (< 40ms) to local sites like www.aardvark.co.za, but both my local and international connection throughput is very weak. Last night I got anything from 10-40kB/s on a 4Mbps OpenWeb (IS) connection - from Stellenbosch/Cape Town. I've tried downloading from a couple of local sites (akamai mirrors, Twilight) and international ones too.
I'm now at work in Technopark, and the Internet is just as slow here - we're also on IS. It took me about 3-4 minutes to open Gmail!

I'm really missing my 600mbps uncapped & free Seacom connection that I had for 3 weeks 
My international is completely broken, and some local sites aren't working either - probably since they have international adverts or something.

U can register for email updates on the saix website, but beware, they send loads, so I wouldn't suggest it unless you actually need it.
