satellite dish for balcony

Hi,



I wonder if anyone has suggestions I am looking for a satellite dish (DSTV) that can fit on a flat balcony

The building i live in prevents the display of a satellish dishes in order to maintain the asthetic of the building, but I was thinking I could fit a satellite dish on my balcony, with the dish obscured from view via a 3 meter high balcony wall

I will on the 6th floor

Any advice or suggestions on where i can get something like this

You need something like this.

You will need to make sure your balcony faces the satellites direction. Also the signal comes in a quite a steep angle so you also need to make sure the balcony above you does not obscure the signal.

Are you sure you have line-of-site from your balcony to the satellite?

I've also seen people mount their dish on a mast cast in a cement block or umbrella base and put that on their balcony, which also essentially comes down to not being attached to the building.
