Satellite with GPRS/3G

Currently not available on pre-paid.
Tariffs same on either APN.
You'll have to call 082 155 and ask nicely :)

Just remember (I'm sure you know this); routable is not the same as static. But then I can see the dynamic DNS fingers itching.....

My bandwidth is costing me ±R900pm total. This is much better for me as it's fixed and I can use it anytime (I like the sound of that...anytime).

Using the Windows SP2 Firewall but have even tried with it disabled. Somehow it works fine from work through my Diginet line but no can do on my 3G connection.
 
I dont use the Win firewall, dont like it. But at the moment MSN has been giving me hell. It logs on and off as it sees fit. I will change firewalls and see whats up.

Admittedly running MSN 7 Beta so could be the problem. Still doesn't explain DCC on mIrc though. Will keep looking.
 
I got a account from Sainet for sat, but when i connect with GPRS, and when connect to the VPN, and is connected, it says it cant find the sites, is their a setting what is not right?

Proxy i have to enter in IE?
Or is GPRS really just too slow for the VPN? I heard of ppl what connect with GPRS and all is well then....

Any help from a pro who do the same as me... please help.

well I have not used the sainet account, but only the mweb one. i know that I sometimes get the odd internet explorer error saying it can't find a page. this i think is sometimes due to a slow gprs uplink, i.e. the request for a page is too slow. how's your gprs signal and what are you using to connect via gprs.

i find that using my sony ericsson s700i for gprs uplink is much better (stable) than using my option vodafone card for gprs (no 3g here at home, only at work).

samsung SGH -ZV30 (also have 3g, but no 3g here at home) signal is 75%+ , also have same problem with my MTN sim, same problem....
