Hi,

Can I have confirmation from Sentech MyWireless users for the following:

It seems that there is in general satisfaction regarding the service Sentech provides (after the application hassles has been resolved)

I get the feel that users "feel" they are getting value for their money, especially when compared what Telkom has to offer in ADSL/ISDN/analogue

It seems as if the service is stable and can be relied on for connectivity during office hours.

It seems as if the client support, admin and financial functionality has improved over the past weeks.

It seems as if the most worrying gripe is the small area covered by MyWireless at the moment.

Are the above statements true?

Thanks

Kaspaas

PS: I don't have MyWireless yet, no tower nearby or even planned[:(], and has to stay with ADSL - when it works it is fatastic, the Cap is terrible, support close to hopeless, and definitely not value for money!

yes, very happy

although, when a tower goes down, i have to move the modem around to get another tower, which is a bit of a hassle, but that usually takes 5 min

I think it's the greatest thing since Megawan [:D]

I've never had the tower go down (sentech fourways tower)

My PPPoE was connected for 3850 mins before I had to disconnect to route the ethernet cable through the roof

Kaspaas,

Overall i'm very happy with my connection so far, i def. feel i am getting value for money, esp when i compare it to adsl and the 3GB cap. I find that the service has been very stable, and have only had two dropped connections since i got the package (+ - 3 weeks)altough i'm only 600m from my tower (66), my biggest gripe so far is the connection speed issues i've been having over the weekend (SEE POST: Weather affecting Speed) and i'm still not 100% sure what the problem was.

I was lucky enough to have been up and running with in 10 mins of getting my modem home, and have not had to deal with Sentech Support just yet. I am very happy with my coverage and have only taken my modem out of the house once since i got it, i managed to find signal where i had taken it, but i had to move around a bit to secure 3 lights on the modem (this was in Rosebank).

I'd say the only issue that i am concerned about is the lack of support for a NEWS server.

With regards to the application process there has already been plenty said about this.

Hope this answers your question(s)

Regards

By tower going down, i mean "computer did not respond" or something like that

I've had a disconnection on sunday morning at exactly 6am, thats when i had to move my modem around a bit to find another tower (connected to 66, now 82)

Other than than, i've been connected since then... about 1 day 3 hours now @ 512k

I mean, ****, i download 135 meg in 32 minutes [:p]
