My post on the Vodafone Forums:
I just moved from a Bold 9000 to a Bold 9700 (South Africa - Vodacom). I have managed to move all data to my new device except for my saved locations on SatNav. There MUST be a way to transfer this data but low and behold I've searched Google for 2 hours and found nothing.

Vodafone's Reply:
Unfortunately there isn't any way of doing this, you would need to manually add these on the new handset as is part of a new licence and new device.

My reply:
That is just plain ridiculous, you're into version 4 of this software and you have not included any way of exporting locations that I've saved over the last 2 years??? You CANNOT be serious.

You also have NO way of manually adding the locations as SatNav simply (unlike any other GPS system available) does not allow you to enter co-ordinates. This is real progress for the modern world !!! What on earth does my saved locations have to do with my subscription or device? I can see no logic whatsoever is Vodafone's thinking on this but sadly that's not surprising to me in this day and age.

Outcome:
Vodafone SatNav SUCKS !!!! Cannot believe in this day and age of computing and mobile gadgets that a company can have such lame programmers to think up something like this. LUDICROUS !!!!

Is there any SA user who has figured out a way to achieve this? The fact that they mention I must add them manually is hilarious as their very own software does NOT allow you to enter GPS locations which is the thickest thing for a GPS system. Some of my locations do not have a street address and were added while in situ. I lose all hope in humanity when I encounter crap like this, I would have expected this in the software world 10 years ago.

Couldn't have said that better myself. I migrated from an 8900 to the Storm (which is regrettably rubbish) and was also surprised to find everything but my saved GPS locations. Also got the same response from VC
