I see no proof whatsoever that he is Satoshi. All I see is "I am Satoshi, I'm not providing any proof and I'm not speaking about it ever again."

Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright has publicly identified himself as Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto.

His admission ends years of speculation about who came up with the original ideas underlying the digital cash system.

Mr Wright has provided technical proof to back up his claim using coins known to be owned by Bitcoin's creator.

Prominent members of the Bitcoin community and its core development team have also confirmed Mr Wright's claim.

Mr Wright has revealed his identity to three media organisations - the BBC, the Economist and GQ.

At the meeting with the BBC, Mr Wright digitally signed messages using cryptographic keys created during the early days of Bitcoin's development. The keys are inextricably linked to blocks of bitcoins known to have been created or "mined" by Satoshi Nakamoto.

It might not be all the proof we need but it's certainly more than just lip service. As per the article...

Wright pointed to a crypto signature that he used to sign an e-mail provided to the media and basically said "because I have this signature, I'm Satoshi".

The problem is that it isn't proof at all that he's Satoshi, he's only in possession of a public key that was used in the past for a transaction made very, very early in Bitcoin's life. There's only one way that I know that someone can confirm Nakamoto's identity - providing proof of ownership of the wallet that holds the Genesis Block. The coins mined from that first block can never be traded.

They're looking for him for avoiding tax. $450m which is the value of the Bitcoins he owns would get him into deep schit
