Satrix changing their name to Itransact?

I get "Please note that this site will undergo routine maintenance and will be unavailable from 18h00 on Friday the 23rd January 2015 until 24h00 on Sunday the 25th January 2015. We apologise for any inconvenience in this regard."

I have just logged on and it's fine. I think it's because you logged on during maintenance.

Weren't they taken over by Sanlam?

Yeah...

http://www.satrix.co.za/about-us.php

Satrix today combines the ETF business of Satrix Managers (RF) (Pty) Limited (a registered and approved management company and an authorised financial services provider), of which Sanlam was a joint owner with Deutsche Bank until August 2012 when it became wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sanlam Group, and SIM. Smartcore (a division of Sanlam Investment Management (Pty) Limited, who have performed the asset management of the Satrix ETFs since inception), being the passive investment management business within Sanlam Investments. Now rebranded and functioning as a single operating unit (although remaining as separate legal entities for regulatory purposes), Satrix provides a full array of traditional and smart index products while simultaneously providing investors with the reassurance and backing of being part of a larger financial services group that has looked after the financial futures of many SA investors for more than 95 years.

Weren't they taken over by Sanlam?

Indeed they were, the Sanlam SIM Equally Weighted Top 40 unit trust I opened last year was moved over to Satrix Equally Weighted Top 40 unit trust :(. I have not had the energy to deal with AOS to have it linked to my now unused Satrix profile.

Guess I'm wondering why they're still remaining with AOS, I have three products with them and agree their platform is trying to say the least. On the plus side the returns have been steady while my Coronation top 20 has been bleeding since the oil price begun its free fall. At the least the balanced fund is doing better.
