uuuuuurrrr....dunno! Where do I see that? They did not ask me on the app I think.
I mean your contribution - is this a once off thing you've invested, or are you putting in a certain amount monthly...

Oh...hehe..sorry...thought you meant if they charge me monthly or yearly. I was like WTF???
Was a once off thing. As I come into some dosh I will deposit more. I see that you can actually add more online? A instruction or something they call it?
I seem to have messed up my password somehow. Keeps telling me now it is incorrect. urg.
Yeh, you can do that.... I first want to run mine for around a year before deciding what to do with it
Password thing happened to me at the beginning of the month, had to email them to reset it. (apparently it looks you out after 3 tries, and the "Forgot password" doesn't work.
What funds you using @ssd?
I have the satrix40 and the swix. Best thing I did was to open these and forget about them. Compound interest and market cycles can work in your favour in the long term
Im also new in this space...so where do i start exactly? i wanna put in a lump sum at first, say 10-15K then maybe add monthly contributions as well, mayb 1K pm. Using some comments from this thread, i tried to check more info from satrix, etfsa and sharenet but i find the pricing structures to be confusing and not easy to understand for a newbie like me! And finally would you say the returns from these options significantly better than Absa Inv Advantage which is currently giving me 5% pa?
Skippy, what you doing with 5% ??? And you wanna go 14% max with STX. Oh well. Good for you. I will stick to my 65 to 130% PA shares. I am not dissing STX as I was there and done that. Good for entry level investors.Im also new in this space...so where do i start exactly? i wanna put in a lump sum at first, say 10-15K then maybe add monthly contributions as well, mayb 1K pm. You need to print out the application form on the Satrix website, fill it in...do the deposit of the amount you want to invest, select the options on the form into which products it must be invested in, then also indicate that you want a certain amount to go in every month via debit order. Once completed, you email or fax it through with your ID, Proof of bank account and Proof of physical address. Takes 24 - 48 hours for them to process it for you.
I found it very painless. Once your account is open, you can apply for a online login...and once that is done..you can login and do stuff and see what investments you have etc. You can also then give instruction online to add more money via once off deposit etc etc.

But is it easy getting those returns for someone with no experience whatsover in the investment space? How do you invest on that, and what is the fee structure like?
As easy as investing in Unit Trusts. Standard Bank is quite popular but I prefer www.imaraspreid.co.za as my broker firm. But is it easy getting those returns for someone with no experience whatsover in the investment space? How do you invest on that, and what is the fee structure like?
Wish I had 1% return for every time I have to read about your amazing returns. You're wonderful. We get it.
