Ja, me too. Over 700 VHS tapes, mostly NTSC. Slowly rotting in a several boxes in storage. I can't get rid of them because they're my licence for the content I laboriously digitised about 8-9 years ago. If I dump the tapes I'll have to delete about 400 gig of "ripped" videos on the media server.I still have an VHS collection

Ah, yes. VHS. Renting a cheap B-movie off the side shelves and then finding that all the sex scenes are more worn than the rest of the the movie.
I still have an VHS collection, never used but nonetheless.
Then there is the security industry where recording is still largely done with VHS.
DSTV PVRs? better find away to backup your prized collection quickly if you want to keep them.
So I have a mint condition VHS machine. Whre's the best place to find one of these hipstrs to sell it to for top dollar?

Yeah but the quality of those really went down the drain.Pick n Pay is still selling blank VHS tapes. :wtf:
And here is the problem. It's easy to just transfer but not to convert formats."Industry" never came up with a proper replacement tool to record what you want to watch later. PVR services are simply too expensive. Probably one of the main reasons torrents became popular.
Anyway, as requested: Goodbye VHS!
Oh and vhs was our introduction to porn. Bush & neck scarves are the things I remember.
Explain to me please... What is a "VHS"
