Another model finished, the Italeri 1/72 Antonov An-2, largest single-engined biplane in the world. Not a fantastic kit (and one of the canopy parts was missing, so I had to fabricate a replacement!), but I played a little with oil paints for oil leaks and weathering.

Excellent job there! I love the patina and detailing. Some of the best I've seen.I couldn't find another thread that focused on scale model kits, so here's one.
Building model kits is one of my hobbies. I built model kits as a kid, got back to it once or twice, and then restarted it in earnest 3 or 4 years ago. I joined the Gold Reef Scale Modeller's club and I've been learning all sorts of new things - weathering, airbrushing,etc.
Here's my latest complete kit, which took me a year (thanks to lots and lots of laziness and procrastination).
Focke-Wulf Fw-190 S-8, 1/48, MPM kit (not a great fit, and some fiddly resin and photo-etch parts). I tried a technique called "black-basing" to do the panel areas and general unevenness in the camouflage.

I built a Land Rover model for my dad, to match the Landy used in our family for 45 years. I learnt to drive in it! It was a Heller 1/43 Series 3, converted to a 1965 Series IIa using resin parts (dog, nose and wheels) and custom-printed decals. The dog is my dad's Neapolitan mastiff, Kruger.

I entered about 18 models in the GRSM Model of the Year show, and I was very pleased to win first place in 5 categories. I won with some odd ones - some of the models I thought might win didn't, sadly.
1/72 scale military jets: De Havilland Sea Vixen:
1/48 and 1/72 scale biplanes: Antonov An-2 (middle back):
Fantasy and sci-fi figures, 90 & 75mm: The Soul Huntress (admittedly, the only entry in the category).
Civilian propeller-driven aircraft: Edgely Optica
1/144 scale military propeller-driver aircraft: Ekranoplan A-90 Orljonok. I built this one and brush-painted it about 25 years ago, and entered it for fun.

Do we have a place like this in South Africa? They build mini scenes or cities, they have moved once or twice so I think they have scaled down over the years due to limits in space.

Stargate with the Nazi's interesting
Finished: my Avro Canada VZ-9 Avrocar, along with a couple of 3d-printed visitors looking for transport home. Likely the smallest 1/72 model jet I've ever made. This was a real aircraft (but it did not fly well)!
I finished my Arado Ar-234 C-2 model kit yesterday. It's an ancient Revell kit, with poor fit and detail, and raised panel lines. I scratchbuilt the entire cockpit, did some post-shading on the panel lines, and used a spare set of Luftwaffe decals to get the Tesla logo for the tail. The C-2 model was designed to launch the V-1 flying bomb.
Finished, the CMC Leopard model kit, a 1/72 scale Amodel kit. It's tiny! The plane was a 4-seater passenger jet with two engines, and was significantly smaller than a Me-109 or Cessna 172. It first flew in 1988. A nice simple kit, though it didn't fit together well. I tried a new clearcoat, Mr Color GX110. Very nice indeed, better than even the normal clearcoat.
