School Shooting in Seattle

Listening to a US radio station. A school shooting just occurred in Seattle, Washington.

According to the station, apparently the kid shot at the other students in the cafeteria. 7 injured, 2 with head shots. The kid then killed himself.

Why if someone wants to off him/herself would that person want to take other people with?
 
Is it just me or was there a lot of total school massacres in the US in history.

Gawker Media. Is that the outfit whose staff advocated bullying in response to the gamergate scandal? Where Mercedes Benz pulled advertising? Good for MB.

Knowing that some of these school shootings follow bullying, e.g. Columbine, it's maybe actually no so off topic.

Watching it on CNN at the moment, I really don't understand why the US doesn't just say STFU to the NRA and introduce strict gun control policies

Because most Americans believe they have a constitutional right to carry. It's nothing to do with the NRA.

Saying one has a belief in x, does not mean one has is irrational to believe in x (or has lesser knowledge or some such). So no, I stand by what I said, as it's correct. All our knowledge is based on beliefs.
