Schools may ban cellphones

Wont someone think of the children?!

Seriously though, I hope they have better reasons for banning cellphones than cause they were sharing porn pics.

Ag shame, the poor kids will have to do without their cellphones for a few hours a day while they do what they are supposed to do at school - learn.
 
Cellphones are relatively recent devices. For years and years kids didn't have cellphones...and their schooling was okay if not better...
 
Hopefully parliament will take so long to sign something like this into law, I'll be out of school in time :D
 
There is no need for cellphones during school time. I'll say allow them to use it before school and during breaks. They don't need to use their phones while they are in class.

I don't see the need for kids to have cell phones at school. I was just commenting that banning them because of concern over porn was stupid.
 
This is just another installment. Every decade there is something to be banned from school.

This is what I remember...
Koki pens
Trolls
Bubblegum
School bags with slings
Sony Walkmans
Calculators
Calculators with games!
Watches with games

So, give it 5 years or so and iPods and cellphones will be essential tools in the education system.

It's good enough for me!!!! In fact pass a law.

It's difficult enough protecting your kids these days.

You are being naive if you think that because they can't get it on their cell phones they won't go back to other more traditional means (magazines).
 
I'll find any way I can to protect them from whatever I think neccessary. I don't give a flying ...... what anybody thinks, says or calls me. They do not have any right to speak on the subject of me protecting my kids.

I don't have my own kids yet, but I work with them every single day. I stand with you Omac, if they want to ban cellphone use during school time, then they must go for it.

Ha, that costs money, wait till those late nights when you children are at home and see what they doing on the PC, sneek up on them, that would be funny. :D
