Audi is preparing its hottest TT yet, and our spies snapped the super sports coupe charging around the Nürburgring.
It will probably be badged TT RS and promises a true alternative to the Porsche Cayman.
Equipped with a 2.5-litre in-line five-cylinder petrol motor, Audi is said to have boosted power to about 260 kW with the help of twin turbochargers.
The car will be fitted with Audi's quattro permanent all-wheel drive system and power will be channeled to these wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox or DSG.
Styling is addressed too, and TT RS will feature signature RS aluminium door mirrors, RS-specific brakes and beefier bumpers.
This firebreather is expected to hit global markets by the end of 2008.
