They are acting. They are exercising their right to warn others in the public interest against a bad business.

Many threads on here like the MTI etc threads saved many from making a huge mistake.

If just a few find this thread because its being kept active and don't lose a big chunk of money then its a good thing.

Well batteries can fail for no apparent reason, or it can fail due to improper usage.

I'm not so sure there's a quality issue yet.

Sure but his batteries have only been selling for just over 2 years (i think) and I can't imagine the overall units sold being massive, so statiscally it's not great.
