Good point, people are always a bit weary if they see a business with a Gmail account or I am anyway. I come across them daily, seemingly big companies but then they use straight Gmail addresses, doesn't seam to bother most people though.

Thanks! I'm quite attached to the company name, sadly sss.co.za is already taken!

It's still quite a while till "official" though, ETA around 2 months for the site, just excited to get the ball rolling.

You could always install Wordpress on your site temporarily. Add a 'Coming soon' page with a countdown timer. It is as easy as falling off a log to do -> you just search the Wordpress extensions for 'Coming soon' and you'll have more options than you can wave a stick at. You can even add a sign-up form on some of them so people can get a notification when the website actually launches.

Fair enough, I don't know the etiquette of all this, thought the Afrihost page looked quite nice tbh :)

It's less to do with how their page looks, I've definitely seen worse.

But more about the fact the page is from them and not you. Makes it look like you don't care about your site and probably about to let the domain go.
