Hi Guys,

I need advice canceling my subscription, I am loyal Wimax Screamer user for more than a year now and i am very happy with my connection to-date BUT Screamer uses sub-contractors to install their wimax hardware.

After paying a ridiculous rental fee +- R3700 can't remember exactly and always paying my monthly subscription on time,SO NOW the sub-contractor suspended my line and gave me two invoices JUST THE OTHER DAY for R1000 saying its call-out fee and Installation fee. Why after more than a year?

I did not know that I had to pay someone other that Screamer and didn't know there where any hidden cost to Screamers WiMax ONTOP of the rental fees...

Unfortunately i can't afford to pay Intech which is the Third-party Company im talking about R1000...

How do you prepose i go about resolving this problem? If i cancel i will be looking to get the Cell-c 4g speedstick as i can't get ADSL in my area either..

Thank you

Perhaps this contractor is trying to nail you before the Consumer Protection Act kicks in.

Wait till April 1 and enjoy your new found rights, because this smells like B.S.

Thanks Demon.... Ye im in a SH@T position atm, if i don't pay i have no Internet, and i can't get internet from somewhere else unless i discontinue this one... BTW how does the Consumer Protection Act work?
