Anyone know if Screamer Wimax will ever be available in Cape Town?

I'd go with Telkom Wimax then use any ADSL account from any ISP and not be bound by someone smearing equipment cost (or contracts) and their own bandwidth limitations off on me...

I've already got Telkom Wimax, but I'm getting impatient with 512kbps.

O yes one more thing to reach the false bay area you would need to ideally place a site in muizenberg to reach simonstown and maybe somerset west .

I have a 1mb/s Screamer connection and was part of their 2mb/s trial, which I hope to switch to permanently soon.

Speed != Reliability or choice in who provides me the bandwidth.

As soon as Web Africa rolls out their own self-provisioning Tier-1 bandwidth, guess who CAN use them to evaluate it? Me! and guess who CAN switch to the new broadband provider WITHOUT changing connections, paying more money for wireless **** that's only available at one specific provider (the guy who gave me the hardware)?? ME!!!!

Telkom's Wimax can go faster... but I can use 45 different ISP's without changing my hardware if I want to.

I guess if speed is important then sure, go for it, but hey... you shooting yourself in the foot because I will bet you my first born you'll be on this forum bitch about how slow Screamer is (even though you have a 4mpbs link or whatever) because they oversell their bandwidth.... lols
