Screamer network issues since 5 March

I see a lot of complaining in the general "screamer wimax" thread, and thought it best to start a new thread on this as it does not appear to be an isolated problem...

I, for one, have had speeds averaging ~12kBps since Friday, web browsing has been terrible. Previously I was getting between 30kBps and 40kBps.

What is going on? When will it be fixed?
 
Have you spoken to the local agents?

I found their network stable on the northern side of Pta.

Their billing system seems to be on the blink though.
 
I'm lucky to get 10kb/s download speed,for the last 5 months. The only reason why I'm using them is because I don't have any alternative.

Pathetic company.

I advise everyone to go to http://www.hellopeter.com and leave a complaint there.
 
Yeah, same here since thursday, I'm lucky if I get a website open and my downloads run at MAX 10kb/s

also I noticed that sudenly my Tx/Rx signal strength has gone from -69 to -91 WTH?
 
Hi Guys. Have called Support on the 10th I think....(Could have been the 9th) about this problem. I'm on the 10Gig Cap and it did not reset so almost 10gigs used on day 37.... Hope I'm not going to get charged the pro rata after the 10 gigs as need to download some stuff.

Any idea why I have to disconnect and reconnect my wireless lan like 5 times a day sometimes even more. Have the Gigaset SE505 was ok with IBurst...
 
Some, but still getting packet loss which is a no go for raiding in WoW.
 
TBH this weekend has been superb. Been raiding in 25 man ICC with no issues what so ever. Although from previous experience i'm left wondering how long this is going to last ...
 
My connection returned to normality from around Thursday I'd guess. Unfortunately I wasn't home to make a note of exactly when, but this weekend has been very good. Hopefully it stays this way :)

On a different note, I didn't receive a response to my email or PM, which is a bit concerning...
 
I will need to test this out this week. Yeah I am not getting any feedback from howzit or any of their staff via email.
 
ive been waiting to get my public ip working since about 1 December 2009 and still not working. And getting hold of them is a mission. When things go wrong there rep howzit just vanishes. The internet quality is bad. Lastweek i was on the phone with one of there support people next thing the phone goes down and they do no effort to call you back. Cant screamer become more professional like vodacom business or telkom. Plus why do they route us through a transparent cache ?? because of that i can benefit from the nice features of open dns. why why why i dont know who there main tech guy is but i think he doesnt really know what he is doing. Dont use creamer else ull be screaming

Yep just i thought, today i have 75% packet loss. Dealing with screamer is truly like having an ISP lucky packet for connectivity. Thank F*** i only have a month or two left of this rubbish
 
Last night was totally horrific. 500ms-900ms in WoW, timputs on browsing.

It's only through your apparant discontent for your proffesion and blatent disregard for your customer satisfaction, and misleading advertising that you can maintain the level of product / service delivery which we have all come to expect from you guys ! I salute you and say keep up the hard work ! If you don't, you might actually provide an ISP service worth paying money for..... and we wouldn't want that now would we ?

Please may a Screamer rep or "howzit" please get in contact with me asap (I have been more than patient with your company) to explain why i should remain a paying cutomer ? I mean seriously chaps two tin cans conencted with a piece of string would be a better connection than your rubbish at the moment ! Now pull your blady socks up and please I REPEAT PLEASE GET IN CONTACT WITH ME ?

EDIT: Honestly i have got more intelligent conversations out of a wall compare to your call centre staff...

I feel your pain, their service is really not good. I have been a SCAMer subscriber for almost a month now, but I still have a glimmer of hope that things will get better. PLEASE SCREAMER, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the problem!!

Update: still no communication from screamer..... not that i'm surprised. Truly pathetic.
 
Trying to get a 4mbps ADSL line, if it happens good bye Screamer :P
