I am currently running on a digichilli spicy account, and am honestly sick of their **** speeds. I am however cautious to sign up with screamer, as I have heard of problems with it aswell. If I sign up for it, will i get the same full 4096 speeds as I get with my telkom ISP, or will i also get frustrating 20 kb/s downloads. With telkom atm im getting 420 kb/s , im expecting to get this with the uncapped acount. Anybody else got feedback on them?

You have a spicy account with DC and getting 20kb/s downloads?

Granted its not your full line speed, but its about 70% of what DC say you should be able to get with the spicy account.

If you want 420kb/s uncapped... be prepared to pay between R2k and R4k pm.

Money is no issue, The screamer account is R2499 , I just want to know if im going to get 420 kb/s on there

If money is no option then why not go with one of the proven uncapped providers?

I don't want rolling windows or anything, that is why I want to go for screamer. 1024 kb/s is painfully slow in my opinion, I have just come from using a vodacom 7.2 HSDPA connection. What other ISP'S offer a full time 4096 connection with no rolling windows?

see one post above yours

VC 1024 "Up to 4096k"

The words up to make me skeptical, anyone else got this acount? Should I get a download speed of atleast 300 kb/s?

NO ISP will guarantee you a minimum speed unless you're paying REALLY big money for leased lines etc etc...

Vodacom Offers a 4096 Uncapped at R2699...

look here Openweb Vodacom Business

I just tested one of these accounts this past week for a customer, and well they're rubish couldnt even get 1 meg on a local download. This was after trying them previously about 3 to 4 months ago and then having the same problem. So I'd stay away from them for now.

saunj09, I am about to purchase a 4Mbit uncapped as well. You have mainly two options of the main suppliers, namely, Vodacom or IS.
Resellers that I know of: Openweb, Interprise, GamCo, and SAINET. I have looked into them and asked around, and they all do the "no threshhold", unlimited access, 4Mbit connections. Some provide own modems, and some want a 12 month contract at least. If I recall SAINET and Openweb have two options, one with a 12 month contract and one without.
Personally, I am most probably going with either Openweb or SAINET. Speeds are generally between 1.6Mbits and 3.6Mbits during the day. As mentioned above, you can't get them to give you a minimum speed. Though with 3 months of waiting and talking to people, I have concluded this is my best bet other than a proper leased line, which will cost you an arm, leg and a few fingers. Then again, I do have a leased line... which I can't get rid of as I need good quality for critical services, but in the case of just general surfing, the 4Mbit unlimited options are pretty good.
