Is there anyone else out there that thinks we have WAY TOO MUCH DOWNTIME?? Since summer started it feels like I get a text message from Screamer at least once a week stating that they are aware of the outage...
Surely if they had people that knew what they were doing the underlying problem would have been resolved by now??

I have been down most of today and received a text stating that I could expect more downtime this weekend.

I reiterate my previous post.



The fact that we receive a text message stating that "We're experiencing a problem with our upstream provider" doesn't make it ok. In fact, this particular issue occurs SO often that I would think Screamer would have come up with a plan to prevent this in the future???

I'm starting to think we should pay pro-rata... as 20 available days out of 30 surely doesn't justify my paying full price for the month.
Good thing you guys don't have SLA's stipulating 99.99% availability.

Hi Guys

We are really sorry about the electricity problems being experienced on our Mount St base Station. We are trying desperately to get council to come up with a permanent solution and hopefully will have one in the next few days although this will probably once again result in them having to disconnect everything to get it installed :(

What is going on? Im screaming!!! Data connection drop out completely for long periods of time - but the phone line function all the time - so it must be the internet provider or tower (Brentwood) that performs shockingly slow.

F....... annoying again. 5KB downlaod rates

And when trying to game in this last week been getting disconnects after 4minutes or so.

ooops complimented tooooooooooooo soon, my point to point connection in my outbuilding doesn't work, one would think the tekkies would check everything before leaving - both buildings
 
Connection drops every few minutes on Delmas tower! Getting pretty gatvol of this. At R 1799 per month you'd expect decent service. BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

guess im gonna stay clear of screamer for a good while to come...
 
Very bad net since wednesday.

When i spoke to the guys at technical support, they told me it was due to the bad weather. I understand that. It has been raining the past few days.
My problem is that its now every single time it rains, our net becomes unusable. Funny thing is, its sunday today. Its not raining at all. This morning, when i loged, it was fine....

So basically, all im saying, is that why is my internet only usable from midnight till about 2 am ? Can someone please help.

Judging from no one else mentioning anything about this from boardwalk meander, i think it may just be me...

Please help. Its becoming bad now.

I have complained about exactly that in this thread on a few occasions. The reception seems to be best between the hours of 00h00-04h00 in my area. Whenever I need to use the net is when the reception is at it's worst. How can reception vary like this on a daily basis? And I don't really believe the weather has such big a role to play. Big thunderstorms yes, but I've had my best gaming sessions on screamer when it was pouring with rain. Pity it had to be during the middle of the night due to Screamer's signal dropping significantly during the daytime.

I see Telkom is busy installing exchanges in my complex, as much as I hate to support them, I'll be signing up for Adsl as soon as it's available. I have very limited time available for surfing & gaming, and I simply can't wait for when Screamer decides to give me a good signal for whichever part of the day.

Did all my raids on my 3g tonight. Much much much better than my normal connection.
600ms stable is much better than 400-150k...Yup....150k. I cast a spell, and saw it casting after the raid wiped and was buffed up again

Screamer said they will get back to me asap. Not counting on it.
Thank you boardwalk meander technical support. The only actual help im getting in this situation comes from them.

Crossing thumbs for tomorrow....
 
Howzit and his crew must start sorting this out..... Its ridiculous! I am seriously considering an alternative such as Cell C or MTN who has a backbone running through here. They offer almost the same price/service. Just much more reliable than screamers!!!!!!!!!
 
So, anyone having issues with international???
Local is fine, but international sites take forever to load:(

Howzit, my connection has been dead for last 4 days and I been trying to phone your guys and contacting some of your guys via email and not having any luck.

I am seriously very unhappy and annoyed about this.

Boggles my mind ....... anyone having the same issue, since yesterday i can't seem to connect to the internet , well technically, i can't view any webpages or check email, i can ping websites etc, but just can't surf, i've been in touch with screamer technical, they lost as i am, any suggestions friends
