I need to record short training videos (.SWF files) that are only available online for offline usage.

First I tried keepvid, but it doesn't like the .swf format as it does not contain the whole video, additional files are needed. The videos were produced in Adobe Captivate.

I've tried CamStudio and a bunch of other who all seem to either be based on CamStudio or are ripping off CamStudio. The problem I have with all of these are that the audio is captured from the laptop speakers via your laptop microphone.

Is there something out there (free/opensource) that can grab the audio internally to produce better quality?

Are you making your own tutorials or are you watching a tutorial then recording it?

It appears that FVD Video Downloader Extension to Chrome is working!!

Yay!!

Now that I've grabbed all the video files I would like to get them in more friendly format like AVI, MP4 or similar.

Again, the web is flooded with video converters full of promises but low on delivery. Any pointers to free/open source .SWF to AVI/MP4 conversion software for Windows would be just dandy.
