Hi guys my screen recently started jumping and flickering erratically, and i have discovered that this only happens while connected through my 3g modem and gets worse when the modem transfers data. only started happening in the last two days, already tried to restore. anyone know a solution?

i'm running:
core 2 quad Q8300
inno3d geforce GT 240
windows 7 64bit (home premium)
K3565-z 3g modem
vmc lite v 9.3.6.12095

I might be completely off the mark here, but does it look similar to the flickering that you see on your TV when your phone is close to it and a phone call is being received or made? This is due to certain equiptment not being shielded properly etc.

I am not sure if this is in fact the cause, seeing that it would have been doing this from the beginning, unless the signal has deteriated and perhaps your modem now needs to put out more power to transmit and therefore causing more intereference with your moniter? It would explain why it gets worse when the modem is transmitting and receiving data.

What type of signal are you getting? 2G or 3G?

yeah, thought it could be that too as it also making the beeping interference noises through the speakers, put a lead on to try to get the modem further away from the case. the speeker interference is gone but the screen is still bouncing. it just weird that it has only started happening now... getting 3G BTW

U using a CRT monitor? I used to use one and notices whenever my modem switched to GPRS the interference would become worse. When it went back to 3G, it would be hardly noticealbe.

LCD monitors do not seem to have this issue.

But like I said in my first post, it could be something else, but this is the only thing i can think of.

I don't think it can be anything else, I am 100% sure that you are 100% correct.

hey guys, using a LCD screen, but i seem to have sorted it out, i downloaded the latest 64 bit drivers for my graphics card and it has stopped happening, but i still don't know why it was only happening when i was using my 3g connection, weird.
