It all depends on stock availability, logistics, etc. Not a week or two, probably 6+.

I saw Tahir (he's with an SP) posted they were told March, which sounds about right.

We might see the W900i in shops as early as Feb.SonyEricsson says this phone is already launched and when you go to there website, its no more under COMING SOON......I want the black W900i

I spoke to someone at SE in Vodaworld today. They say February too. I also want the black one.
 
Normally every Friday. Still not on last weeks report as received for testing.

Phones received last week for testing included The Motorola C168, Motorola V191, Samsung SGH I300, Nokia 6111, Sony Ericsson J220 and Sony Ericsson J230.

W810 Ill say April/May...

And the P990.... Launch date overseas is in March according Sony Ericsson so May/June maybe!!:D
 
This definitely my next phone if it comes with 3G and a camera rumoured to be 3,2 megapixel.

Does anyone know the date that I will be able to walk into vodashop and ask for the w900i and I will actually be able to buy it!??? The guy that works at MTN that I asked should be fired... he said we will only see the w900i in june/jult 2006!
 
In my experience I have learnt that most people @ Vodashop's aren't too clued up on new phones or their arrival dates. Usually you get the stock answer of +3-4 Months from now, even if they have never heard of the phone.

For SE, best bet would be to add 2 months from UK availability as I've learnt in the past. By UK availability I mean from the time you can actually get info on the phone from Vodafone / Orange / 02's website... NOT SE's website.

I want the P990i, Ive had all the SE Pxxx series, and they are brilliant. But if it aint gonna be out soon, then im gonna start looking into PalmOne Treo.
 
Slightly OTT, and I'm sorry if you guys have discussed this before, but is there a reason the phone information on Vodacom/VodacomSP's website is perpetually out of date?

It'd be nice if they put a bit more effort into maintaining a reasonably current list of what phones are available, and what the upgrade costs are on different contracts etc, without having to call or (horrors) drive to Vodaworld every time ;)

I guess it's an obvious answer; time, resources, perpetual release of new units, etc. but I've passed you comments to the WEB master. ;)

Sony Ericsson W900i will now be available in March.Price is not yet available.And Yes BLACK will be available
