Sea Point Exchange Down

Day 3 of internetlessness - has anyone experienced a 'broken DSLAM' before? How long did it take them to resolve?
 
OK my line is syncing again (albeit at 4mbps and previously was 8mbps) but cannot connect still.
 
I'm back up, yeah! technician just called me & sorted out on the spot

Looking at the router stats, I can see:
- that I'm syncing to 8mbps as shown Rate (Kbps): 8032
- I'm now using the 'ADSL_2plus' mode
- Attainable Rate (Kbps): 23324

Does that mean that the exchange is 20mbps+ enabled?
 
Still offline as well...As per Helkom...general dslam issue was resolved but now everyone that was affected ,has got individual problems...basically,they will get to you,when they do...do not forget once your line is sorted, give their accounts dept a call, and get ur account credited for the down time.
 
Eventually sorted... Thanks to a lady named Thato in the Telkom call centre going the extra mile
