Sea Point VDSL

Hi

Sea Point was one of the first areas in Cape Town to support 10mb, so Im very surprised that they havent decided to go ahead with VDSL in the area...

I know around the corner in Moullie Point there is an active FTTH product in a very fancy block (rather not say the name) and that its 100mb and available to current Telkom ISP clients only.

What are the plans for Sea Point? We being left behind

Last time a Telkom techie was over to sort out a broken line in my complex...Green Point...stated, unless there is a major infrastructure upgrade in established areas, ie.fibre replaces the copper that runs into units, VDSL will not happen.. Telkom will look towards areas, that have suitable/newer infrastructure first, less capex for them.

yoh... Think I will stick around in Sea Point regardless. I rather have slower internet and no traffic
