Sea Sickness

Don't go in a boat. Cures me every time. :D

Seriously, there are motion sickness pills that you can get at any pharmacy.

Try Hyoscine or Triazine. But be careful. They cause drowsiness, so don't drive afterwards and they can cause gastrointestinal disturbances, so don't cough or you'll **** yourself.

There's a tablet for nausea called Stugeron. I don't think it's even prescription medicine. I used to get terrible car sickness when I was young. This worked wonders. I assume it will work for sea sickness also.

Nope but going on a cruise in 3 weeks time.

And it is our honeymoon ..... so sea sickness is out of the question :)

For some people not even pills work.
Hubby is one of them.
Nothing helps... we have tried everything.

Try SCAT armbands (and that has nothing to do with wild animals ;) ). They work by stimulating acupressure points in your wrist which relieve nausea. Unfortunately for me I puke my lungs out on the sea... noob scuba divers don't feel too confident when their dive master is jurling over the back of the boat while trying to kit up.... and these things worked for me.
Might just be mind over matter, but there aren't really any tablets you can take that don't interfere with your concentration
You can get them at most established dive shops

Go to Dischem and get the new generation ones.

SCAT armbands work to some extent.

Main thing is that with meds you cannot drink too much.

The one thing that works for me is sucking on lemons or better still ... LIMES. Maybe try it with the SCAT armbands.

+1
I tried all of the ones you get at the pharmacy and Stugeron was the best.
I still have some lurking in my fishing bag, there is no possible way to enjoy being out on the sea if you are feeling sick.

used this on numerous occasions while deep sea fishing.
Saved my bacon every time...

Sea sickness can be the worst thing youll ever know...
Note: if the swell is big, dont eat or drink nething that might move around. eat something solid.
