go tell that to people with only 1 fiber line and at a standstill because of this.
know of at least a few that panicking and running like Insane Monkeys, because they didn't see fit to install redundant Fiber Backups.

Redundant fibre is a myth. Unless you have trench versus aerial (fibre or microwave) it won't work.
Putting in a Comsol microwave with a client who was affected by the fibre outage and using SD-WAN to make it seamless.
