Seacom operations fully restored (4 November 2011)

There was another break??? Maybe I just didn't notice because my awesome Mweb connection kept going....
 
SAT-3 and Seacom problems at the same time.. luckily we have more cables and WACS coming soon !! :)
 
I've just been told by my International carrier that Seacom was only operational for 1 hour and it is now broken again. Their failover is also down!

It wasn't even an hour... it was more like 45 mins.
 
Is sea com JINXED ? How many breaks since it was installed? An undersea cable should almost fail proof and only affected by seismic movements at seabed.
 
I guess they updated their website and put out the press release in the 45 minutes when Seacom was operational. Now they don't have Internet access to the website which is hosted by Rackspace in the UK.

Hmmm. If the cable owners don't host their website in a data centre serviced by their own cable, why should anyone else use the cable?
 
Update that I've received:
Seacom has isolated the failure to equipment in Neotel's Midrand data center and they have their senior engineers onsite working on the problem.
