A friend is in desperate need of a controller card for a 160gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 SATA drive (I'll update with the model number as soon as I have it).

If anyone can assist it would be appreciated.

- What is the full model # of the drive
- What do you need the PCB for, what is wrong with the drive

The full model number is ST3160811AS

Hoping replacing the board will resurrect the drive.

I am afraid, this model requires to transfer original serial ROM.

Best to have it done properly rather than trying pot luck putting random PCBs on it. You're welcome to send it for a quote, we give MyBB members very good rates.

Thanks but I'm not intending to put a random PCB on it.

here you can find some barracuda 7200.9 pcb for sale online with free shipping. In most cases, you should exchange the BIOS/Main Controller IC before you swap hard drive PCB, in order to make the replacement board compatible with your HDD. Local TV/Phone repair shop can offer this service for $5-$20.
