Hey guys,

My girl and I have been looking at the Seagate FreeAgent Theater+
( http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/external/freeagent/freeagent_theater_plus ) so that we can watch all our movies on our tv. Was just wondering, anyone used one of them and what do you think about it?

Another thing, I have been searching high and low to buy one of these babys but no luck at all. I can buy it online but the issue is my Credit Card has expired and havent yet applied for another one. So an offline shop (a real shop) is the only way to go.

Does anyone know who the official Seagate Agents/Distributors in SA are so that i can phone and findout who they supply. I have seen that a company called STOREGATE could be it but they have no website?

Please let me know, would love this for the weekend.
Thanks!

What about an online shop that accepts EFTs? Most of the SA ones do.

Yeah that might have ti be the next option i suppose. Just wanted it for the weekend thats all.

Why is it so hard to track down the Seagate Agents/distributors?

I suppose it is pricey - for the Theatre+ it costs around R1500 with no drive.
But a decent dvd player with a USB port is R700 +. So for us this works much better, plus you can watch online videos (youtube) etc. I dunno, just like it:)

No it seems nice, it also plays MKV and RMVB which I particularly like:D
But as for the hardrive....does it only take the freeagent go drives or can you insert any seagate HD...?

Well, in that slot thing only a free agent Go, but it has Two USB ports and you can attach any harddrive, no matter the make. Also has an ethernet port so you can attach directly to your PC. With a wireless USB dongle thing you can also wirelessly connect to your PC to transfer or watch something.

Most Computer shops that sell Seagte Hdd's should be able to get it for you.

what happened to storgate? did they vanish?
they used to be the agents?

They don't deal with the public but maybe they will give you details for one of their resellers/dealers.

Yip, just wanted to find out who they supply.

BTW, Found it at Cyber Range (formally Cyber Orange) in Bedfordview. They gave me a really good cash discount:):)

Thanks guys!
