Hey pp

I got a question now I know how to rip a pc apart and put it back together... but when the hardware itself seems to start giving the pc issues while booting up thats a different story for me... I got a seagate hard drive 250gig 2007 model and got it on sat now when I plug it in my windows either blue screens me after about 5min or the pc itself wont boot up at all... so I have just unplugged it and put everything back the way it was before the problems started. I thought I would ask you guys and girls for an opinion on what I should do with regards to this problem and how I go by fixing it.

Thanks ;)

Is your drive affected? :p

Is the hard drive consistently picked up correctly in the BIOS ?

When you say it doesn't boot up, where does it fail and what does it do?

Have you run a scan on the hard drive?

Well thats the thing its the new drive I reckon is causing the issue... it does pick it up in the bios and when I try to boot up the machine I literally switch on the PC and i hear everything starting up then nothing happens I get a stationary red light meaning "dead activity" if you can call it that :P sometimes it gets halfway through the bios tests etc... then it will just freeze... then sometimes I manage to get into windows and then windows just sommer gives me the flip of the blue finger and ja I'm not sure what else to do...

ok this time things has really hit the fan and I'm not sure why my PC keeps blue screening me... I removed all my SATA HD's and I still dont understand wtf is going on and this only happened when I installed my new sata hd...... does this mean that my only solution is to format my master IDE drive???
