Sectional Title Qst - Cape Town

Hello Everyone

I have two questions.

1) Any sectional title management agents that you would recommend? The scheme I live in is relatively small (27 units) and situated in Rondebosch, Cape Town.

2) Does anyone know of plumbing firms that do exemption applications to the City of Cape Town re water sub-meters.

The water sub-meters were supposed to be installed Oct last year already. The quotes we received for our block are outrageous (over R800k, x2 per unit), and that's excluding the monthly monitoring fee and municipal levy per meter. The city posted an exemption application on its website last year, but struggling to find plumbers to assist with the application.

We installed meters but we don't read them.

But there is a product with a once off cost that shows your reading on your phone. We were going to get that but then just decided not to read the meters.

As for managing agents, stay away from Trafalgar.

Thanks Saturnz. So rather a wasted expense, if your block isn't reading the water meters? Especially since the city now levies a user charge per water meter now as well (or is planning to), which will increase each year of course.

So difficult to find good managing agents. Reviews on Hellopeter scathing of every agency I've looked at. Thanks for the heads up re Trafalgar.
