Hello

For the past 3 days my internet connection has been spotty, to see if this was an issue on my side I decided to troubleshoot as much as I can. however I can not seem to find the issue on my side. So with a great assumption I assume it is telkoms fault. I then proceeded to try and call them only to find out I can recieve calls but not make them. I did a speedtest as well just to check for anything out of the ordinary and found out I half my line speed down and 0.14 KBs up. This confused me as I have had a lot of issues but none relatiing to something like this. I cannot get through to telkom by calling them or by trying to log a fault on their website (Which is one of the worst sites for user accessibility I have ever seen). Is there anyway i can fix this without having to drive to the nearest telkom center?
Thank you kindly.

Would this by my connection stats? http://prnt.sc/dlcbd5

Yes/no, it's partial, we also need the SNR or Signal Noise Ratio and Attenuation.
I suggest you crop out the IPv4 address, people can use it for malicious purposes.

Based on your current sync, I am assuming Telkom's ASSIA would be disconnecting you as your SNR is dropping below 6 dB, which forces your modem to re-establish the connection with the exchange. What was your previous connection speed?
I also suggest you correct the date/time on the modem.

Ah, I am not entirely sure where to find the things you are looking for, but I am so happy that you are helping :). http://prntscr.com/dlcep6 and my previous speeds were about 200kbs down 50-100kbs up.

Those are the correct stats,

Your SNR Margin is below 6dB (divide yours by 10, that's what the 0.1dB means), therefore the exchange is re-establishing the connection each time.
Would you be able to remove all devices attached to the line, e.g. phones, filters etc. and then plug the modem directly into the wall and give us those stats? Have any changes happened recently, e.g. installed an electric fence, lightning strike, or such?

Could you also check for any noise on the line by listening to the phone when it's plugged in, do you hear any static or clicking?

I will try to remove the devices and re-check quickly, but I thought you should know that there has been a lightning strike that has hit our house within the past month and the telephone line seems to have a kind of static crackling on our side.

Open a line fault on the voice portion of it, says there is noise and this is probably due a lightning strike.

I mean I would if I could actually call and hear them, but the phone just straight up does not work
